Without product field data that is timely, accurate, and actionable, medical device companies have limited market visibility. While the business impact on missed opportunities is well documented, best practices for collecting and using live product data in medical environments is not. Incorporating Internet of Things (IoT) capabilities into medical devices provides the ability to track device use in the field – down to the component level. This can provide medical companies with the ability to uncover “hidden” customer needs and then engineer new products for added profitability and performance.
