Security is scary; it's easy to understand at a conceptual level, but the pragmatics of implementing a secure solution can be quite daunting. This is particularly true in IoT where you can be fined heavily for customer data breaches, and you can be victimized by nefarious folks looking to steal your Intellectual Property. Fortunately, there is hope! In this session, we will look at many of the challenges surrounding protecting your IP, including securing your device boot-up, encrypting data transmission and storage, and establishing a chain-of-trust between you and your supplier. We will outline some techniques that can be leveraged to solve these problems and thus make sure that your company becomes front-page news for the *right* reasons.
