Building embedded systems can be tough. There are so many factors to consider and so many pieces such as electrical, mechanical, firmware, software, etc. Building your first product is hard enough, but trying to repeat that process and scale it takes much more work. Whether you're an independent contractor, a 10-person startup, or a 1,000-person division in a large corporation this presentation will walk you through what it takes to build the infrastructure to get you and your team building your embedded system products as quickly and efficiently as possible. The solution presented has a relatively low startup cost, a quick buildup time, and is extremely scalable. This presentation will walk you through the process from schematic capture, library management, PLMs, and ECAD/MCAD integration (on the hardware side) to development tools, CI/CD, deployment strategies, and hard-in-the-loop test methodologies (on the software side). Additionally, the presentation will cover the systems that enable you to track the full process from requirements gathering to product shipment and best practices using those tools.
