  • Brian McLaughlinClinical Engineering ManagerMassachusetts General Hospital

    Brian McLaughlin currently serves as the Perioperative Clinical Engineering Manager at Massachusetts General Hospital, a position he has held since June 2013. In his role as Clinical Engineering Manager, Mr. McLaughlin leads a team of clinical engineers and biomedical equipment technicians responsible for medical equipment management, equipment planning, project management, and CE-IT integration for Perioperative Services and Anesthesia at MGH. Prior to that, he held positions at Crothall Healthcare Technology Solutions and New York Presbyterian Hospital among others. Mr. McLaughlin has 29 years experience in biomedical engineering, including managing in-house and out-sourced clinical engineering departments at academic medical centers and community hospitals, as well as medical device research and development and overseas not-for-profit work.

    Mr. McLaughlin is a Certified Clinical Engineer through the Healthcare Technology Certification Commission. He received his Master of Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, his Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, and his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Northwestern University.
