The way medical technology companies are organized, built, and funded has changed radically over the last decade. Medtech start-ups need lab space and resources to test out, challenge, and nurture early ideas. We will convene a panel of experienced executives and entrepreneurs that will provide information about new emerging models for innovation. Incubators are now offering affordable, move-in ready laboratory facilities, with a variety of unique cultures, experiences, services, networks, and incubation programs. Finding the right fit is important, as each incubator has a distinct focus and feel, and works with different angel, venture capital, and corporate strategic investors. Our panelists will discuss how and why they chose a particular set of resources to offer and how different startups have selected and succeeded at various locations.
